A to headline Radio 1 stage at Download

A have been announced as headliners for the Kerrang! / Radio 1 Stage at this year’s Download Festival.

They will be joined by Sikth, Murder One, Funeral For A Friend and Stampin’ Ground on the first day of the festival at Donington Park on May 31.

Sunday will see more heavy bands take to the stage, including One Minute Silence, Raging Speedhorn, Mudvayne and The Blood Broth.

The main stage has already confirmed headliners Iron Maiden, Limp Bizkit, Marilyn Manson, Audioslave and Murderdolls.

It will have three stages ­ the main stage, the Scuzz Stage, and the Radio 1/Kerrang! Stage.
