T In The Park tickets selling at record speed

Sales for T In The Park at Balado in Perthshire on July 12th and 13 are currently selling at three times the speed of last year.

There will be more than 100 bands at the event, including headliners Coldplay and REM plus The Coral, Zwan, The Streets, the Charlatans and Idlewild.

A spokesman said: “This definitely looks set to be the most successful T in the Park ever, which is extremely fitting considering it’s the festival’s tenth birthday.

“I think fans, new and existing, are excited about being a part of this special year, especially as they know we’ll have a few surprises to announce yet.

“With a good chance of sunshine at this year’s event, we can only advise fans who do not already have their tickets to get in fast because at the current rate of sales, the festival is likely to sell-out well in advance.”
