Planning issue threatens Leeds Festival
19th August 2003 - 16:54
This year’s Leeds Festival could be stopped from going ahead on a planning technicality.
Leeds City Council is holding an emergency meeting this evening after festival organisers failed to apply for planning permission for two access roads to the site at Bramham Park, near Wetherby.
The council planning meeting is being held to decide what action to take – less than 72 hours before the first band is due to take to the stage.
