Justin Timberlake to play UK festival?

27th March 2004 - 04:00

Justin Timberlake is being secretly lined up to perform at the V Festival, reckons the Sun.

His aides are said to be in talks with organisers over a set with N.E.R.D.

It would mean he could fly in and perform without needing his own dancers, musicians and stage set.

However, there is a possibility of him performing a full solo show at the festival, at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, and Weston Park, Staffordshire.

Justin, currently on a break after his world tour, is pals with Pharrel Williams of N.E.R.D. and regularly gets on stage with them at gigs.

V organisers have offered to pay for the singer to fly in for the festival, which takes place on the weekend of August 21-22.

The Sun quotes a V source as saying: “All the stops are being pulled out to secure Justin. So far the talks are going well. He has no other UK dates this year and wants to keep his fans here happy.

“Justin loves hanging out in the UK and has always wanted to experience one of our big festivals. At the moment the idea of performing with N.E.R.D. is attractive because it means he can be more relaxed about the whole thing.

“However, if the logistics and money are in place, he may bump it up to a full solo show.”
