Big names for new festivals in Ireland
21st April 2005 - 19:10
A host of huge names have just been confirmed to play four BudRising 2005 events this summer including Pixies, Franz Ferdinand, Kings Of Leon and the Scissors Sisters.
BudRising in association with MCD launched the next stage of their 2005 summer music programme with four dates taking place at Lansdowne Road and Marley Park in Ireland this August.
Kicking the event off on Friday August 19 at Marley Park will be The Chemical Brothers while the same venue will witness Basement Jaxx, an exceedingly rare show by Underworld and a set by Mylo on Saturday August 20.
The first day on at Lansdowne Road on Tuesday August 23 features an entirely unexpected appearance from the reformed Pixies and plus support from The Kings of Leon, while (just like the V Festival) Scissor Sisters and Franz Ferdinand go head to head again (also at Lansdowne Road) on Wednesday August 24 and will be joined by Maroon 5.
Tickets for the shows go on sale Friday May 6 priced from 59.50 Euros (including booking fee) at Landsdowne Road, and from 54.50 Euros (including booking fee) at Marley Park.
Tickets are available from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide and from www.ticketmaster.ie.
