T in the Park lineup announced

The long anticipated T inthe Park 2006 line up has been announced. Recently voted the UK’s number one festival by music fans, T in the Park returns with a truly spectacular
line up.
Tickets go on sale on Friday February 17.
American funk-rock heroes Red Hot Chili Peppers and seminal British legends The Who lead today’s announcement as they will bring the curtain down on the event by headlining the Main Stage at Balado by Kinross on Saturday and Sunday respectively.Record–smashing northern punk-pop buzz band the Arctic Monkeys will also make a welcome debut, after being quoted in the media that, “I did say when I sold a certain amount I’d take my friends to T in the Park.”
Also announced today is one of the biggest indie bands of the moment.
Leeds boys the Kaiser Chiefs will take to the stage on Saturday, together with the soaring, climactic melodies of Iceland’s Sigur Ros.
After their electric performance at the 5 Night Stand Xfm Scotland launch party, Primal Scream will return to T in the Park for their 3rd blistering Balado performance, when they headline the King Tut’s Tent on Sunday night.
Returning to the festival will also be T in the Park favourites The Ordinary Boys. Frontman Preston often waxes lyrical about his love for playing to the legendary Balado crowd.
The Slam Tent sees Chicago house impresario Felix da Housecat take to the decks on Sunday to show why he is one of the world’s most respected DJs. Scotland’s biggest dance music event, will also herald the return of the legendary Slam.
