Basement Jaxx to replace Kylie
20th June 2006 - 05:00
Basement Jaxx have been confirmed as the Pyramid stage headline act on Sunday 26th June.
Felix & Simon had been personally invited by Kylie to be the penultimate act before her Showgirl extravaganza so it seems fitting that they will do her and Glastonbury the honour of closing the festival.
With a stream of modern dancefloor classics and their hi-octane punk-rave-garage-r&b-meltdown of a show, the Jaxx are guaranteed to end Glastonbury on a soaring high.
Basement Jaxx have recently celebrated a platinum number one album with their Singles collection and will be embarking on a 100% sell out tour of the UK before they reach Glastonbury.
The new single ‘U Don’t Know Me’ is out on June 13th.
Primal Scream have also been added to line-up for the penultimate slot in the finale of the 2005 Festival.
