Glastonbury lineup – first major acts confirmed

25th January 2007 - 12:30

The Arctic Monkeys and Bjork are the first major acts to be confirmed for this year’s Glastonbury Festival.

Tickets for Glastonbury go on sale in April and more info will be posted as when we get it.

Organiser Michael Eavis says U2 or Coldplay are too expensive for them so don’t expect them on the line-up.

Dates for Glastonbury Festival 2007 are June 22nd until June 24th and takes place at Worthy Farm in Somerset.

over priced and complicated as a family with 4 kids the price is ridiculous for the line up they have presented this year

couldnt get hold of a ticket anyway – price is way too much – (but would have paid cheerfully). There should certainly be a system of credits for trying – if you dont get a ticket for so many years then you get one after a fixed time- like entry to the London Marathon – miss out five times on the lottery entry system and get an automatic yes for the 6th. I used to go to Glasto every year until the ticketing system changed – now I spend every April 1st like a fool – pun intended – with a telehpone in one hand sat in front of my PC trying to get a ticket from a website I have no chance of getting onto til 7/8 hours later when it tells me the tickets are sold out.

Im only 16, but will pay the money for the Arctic Monkeys at Glasto! They HAVE to get Oasis, if the do, then I will recruit all my mates to tag along, OASIS GET TO GLASTO 08!

fact. watching glasto on telly with your mates and loads of beer and weed etc is infinately better than the real festival. its too big with loads of good bands all appearing on different stages at the same time , too crowded and full of posers who only go to brag in the office on monday and appear cool then go on a marks and spencers detox course . most of them probably have britney spears albums on there i pods and wouldnt know an arctic monkey froma an arctic roll.

    RADIOHEAD FOR GLASTONBURY!!!!!

Their new album hitting top chart positions, their crowd gripping reputation and their excellent music.

Who wouldn’t want Radiohead for this year’s Glastonbury?

RADIOHEAD was life changing, especially when they introduced GOD , umm just in case you were on another planet, I mean Michael Stipe. Radiohead played a brilliant set, Karma Police is one of the best songs eve. Grrr what a insult above

Lets face it…….if the best you can do when slagging off Glasto is refer to the Artic Monkeys, it would be fair to say your music knowledge/taste is limited. Its the variation that makes Glasto!

  14. mad said on

Anyone know if Babyshambles, the rakes or the strokes are likely to play??
