Michael Jackson for Live8?
11th January 2007 - 13:40
Rumours have surfaced that Michael Jackson could perform at Live 8.
Jackson was recently found not guilty of child molestation charges and speculation is rife about how he will try to rebuild his ailing music career.
A performance at Live 8 could be his triumphant come back.
The Sun reports that Live 8 promoter Harvey Goldsmith has left the door open for the star to appear at the Philadelphia leg of the shows saying: “Obviously we’d consider it,” when asked about the possibility of the singer performing.
According to a Live 8 source an appearance isn’t out of the question, despite concerns over Jackon’s health:
“There are obviously concerns about Jackson playing, but now he’s in the clear there’s no reason why he can’t join the line-up. No matter what’s happened he’s a music legend.”
