Neil Diamond confirmed for Glastonbury

Michael Eavis has confirmed that Neil Diamond is to play Glastonbury 2008.
Speaking to the BBC, Mr Eavis, 72, organiser of the festival since 1970, said: “Neil Diamond is for people closer to my age.”
The 67-year-old crooner, famed for hits like Sweet Caroline and Cracklin’ Rosie, will play the event on Sunday.
Ticket registration for this year’s event, which takes place at Worthy Farm in Somerset from 27th to 29th June, opens tomorrow (Friday) from 9am. (Glastonbury ticket registration info)
Hot Chip and Jay Z have also been rumoured as appearing for this years Glastonbury Festival.
