V Festival lineup for Union Stage announced

The first artists for the Virgin Media Union Stage at this years V Festival have been revealed.

Pete Doherty, The Twang, VV Brown and Gary Go are among the lineup, for is set to be a cracking lineup throughout the weekend.

V Festival takes place over two sites – Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in Staffs – from 22nd to 23rd of August.

Joining them at V Festival 2009 will be Goldie Lookin Chain, British Sea Power, Phoenix, The Sunshine Underground, Mystery Jets, Howling Bells, Jenny Lewis, Pete Murray, Joe Lean & The Jing Jang Jong, One Eskimo, Kid British, Ray Gun, Iain Archer, Wallis Bird, The Gay Bladies, Lights and Exit Calm.

The lineup for the 2009 V Festival includes The Killers, Razorlight, The Specials, Oasis, Snow Patrol, Lily Allen, The Script, Taylor Swift, Starsailor and many more.

Tickets for V Festival 2009 have now all sold out, but tickets are still available on fan to fan ticket exchanges such as Seatwave.com
