Weather for T in the Park 2009

7th July 2009 - 15:55

T In The Park 2009 opens it’s doors on Friday and you can bet the 100,000 festival goers expected are hoping the heavens don’t open it’s doors too!

Following last years torrential downpours which caused havoc around the site and in the car parks, creating delays of up to 8 hours for some people, a lot of people are wishing the sun will shine this year.

The T in the Park festival site is located at Balado Airfield in Scotland and here’s our weather forecast for T in the Park.

2009 T In The Park Weather Forecast

Friday 10th July: A dry start to the day with a just a bit of cloud and the odd bit of sunshine.  Temperature expected to be around 16-17°C, rising to 18 after lunch and into the early afternoon.  Risk of rain minimal.

Saturday 11th July: Another good start to the day, although slightly cooler in the morning than Friday was.  On the whole a dry day with temperatures reaching around 17-18°C.  Slight chance of light rain later on in the evening and towards midnight.

Sunday 12th July: A soggy start to the day following a bit of overnight rain which will continue until around lunchtime.  It will feel a lot cooler with the rain and cloud cover, so wrap up.  The sun will try to poke it’s head out after lunch and the last of the rain should now have gone, with temps expected around 17-18°C.

So, it looks like a good first 2 days of the festival with only Sunday mornng potentially wet.  Great excuse for a lie in in your tent!

Whatever the weather, it’s always worth packing some wellies (check here for some quality Hunter wellies), a hat and if it’s sunny – sun tan lotion.

Tickets for T In The Park have now sold out, although some are still available through sites such as Seatwave.com and of course eBay.co.uk

Have a great T in the Park festival!
