Traffic news and information for V Festival 2009

With the V Festival set to start this weekend and lots of people making their way to Weston Park in Staffs and Hylands Park in Chelmsford, queues are inevitable on the motorways.
Here’s the latest travel news from the Highways Agency:
V Festival – Weston Park, Staffordshire
- M6 Nortbound – J12 Exit slip road closed due to an incident.
- M6 Southbound – Heavy traffic around J12, with delays of up to an hour.
- A5 – Delays of around 50 minutes due to heavy traffic
- M6 Southbound – Delays of up to 2 and a half hours between J16 and J12, due to an accident.
The M6 is notoriously busy especially on a Friday and with the V Festival this weekend, extra time and care is advised for your journey.

V Festival – Hylands Park, Chelmsford
- M25 J28 – Delays of up to 10 mins due to heavy traffic
- A12 into Chelmsford – Currently delays of around 10 minutes, again due to heavy traffic.
