V Festival 2009 Weather Forecast

10th August 2009 - 11:58

It’s probably one of the most asked questions of the UK festival season – “what’s the weather going to be like for V Festival?” and rightly so as there’s nothing worse than a mudbath at a festival, although we know some of you prefer it!

On the flipside, if the weather’s too hot, kipping in a 2 man tent full of beer and overpriced burgers isn’t much fun either!

As V Festival is over two sites and the weather can be completely different, here’s our weather forecast for both Weston Park in Staffordshire and Hylands Park in Chelmsford.

Whilst they’ll hopefully be accurate, these weather predictions are long range and may change.  A more accurate weather forecast will be added to Festival News in the days running up to V Festival.

V Festival 2009 – Weston Park (Staffs) Weather Forecast

Saturday: A damp start to the day following overnight heavy showers, which will make the ground quite soggy.  The rain is set to continue throughout the day with heavier outbursts expected throughout the evening. Temperature will be around 15°c, but the wet weather and slight breeze will make it feel cooler.

Wellies are definately advisable!  Check out the festival wellies page.

Sunday: The rain is expected to die off throughout the night, but the festival site will still be muddy.  Small chance of rain throughout Sunday and quite a cloudy day.  Again, wellies will be needed.  Order your pair here!

V Festival 2009 – Hylands Park (Chelmsford) Weather Forecast

Saturday: The weather is much kinder at Hylands Park, although not much in the way of sunshine but dry nonetheless.  Temperatures could reach as high as 20°c in the late afternoon and into the evening – perfect weather for watching The Killers on the main stage!

Sunday: A bit of overnight rain, which will see a slightly damp start to Sunday in Chelmsford.  A dry day is expected though, with temperatures creeping up throughout the day although a little cooler than Saturday at around 17°c.

V Festival 2009 takes place over two sites – Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in Staffs – from 22nd to 23rd of August.

Tickets for V Festival 2009 have now all sold out, but tickets are still available on fan to fan ticket exchanges such as Seatwave.com
