Glastonbury Festival licence granted
27th March 2007 - 16:19The licence for Glastonbury Festival has been granted by Mendip District Council, following their application hearing yesterday.
177,500 are allowed to be in attendance, which consists of 135,000 weekend tickets, 5,000 for local residents and the remainder taken up by staff and performers.
Tickets for Glastonbury Festival go on sale at 9am on Sunday 1st April and are priced at £145 for the weekend with camping. Only those who have pre-registered will be able to purchase tickets. Please check the Glastonbury tickets page for more information on tickets.
Glastonbury Festival is from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th June and takes place at Worthy Farm, near Pilton in Somerset.
The Who, Arctic Monkeys and Bjork are rumoured to be appearing.
