Headliners for Glastonbury 2008 revealed
9th February 2008 - 08:54Q Magazine have revealed that, Kings Of Leon will headline the Pyramid Stage on the Friday night (June 27th), Jay-Z takes the Saturday night slot (June 28th) with The Verve closing the proceedings on the Sunday night (June 29th).
Also confirmed for Glastonbury 2008 are Neil Diamond, Leonard Cohen, Hot Chip and British Sea Power.
Speaking about the line-up Emily Eavis, daughter of Glastonbury Festival organiser Michael Eavis, said:
“We are thrilled that these acts are headlining Glastonbury this year, from Kings Of Leon to Jay-Z to The Verve.
“It really looks set to be an amazing year, with some great performances all round. The Verve are a great Glastonbury band and they are finally doing the headline slot we have been waiting for for years.
“Jay-Z is coming all the way over especially, and he will undoubtedly do an incredible show, we are so honored to have one of the world’s greatest hip hop artists on the farm.
“Kings Of Leon are one of the most exciting live bands out there and they have come through the ranks at Glastonbury, from the new bands tent a few years back. We see them as part of the great heritage of Friday night headliners Radiohead, Coldplay, White Stripes.
“They’re ready to make that leap as well. As usual we will be announcing the full line up in June.”
Glastonbury 2008 takes place at Worthy Farm in Somerset, from June 27th to June 29th.
Ticket registration is now open and you must pre-register if you wish to buy a ticket. Tickets are due to go on sale on the 6th of April.

this is all bloody lovely but who else is playing…..!!!!!
I am literally wetting myself here as just got my ticket and KOL are my favourite band of all time - great choice!!!!!
how about the waterboys, starsailor, kean, killers, oasis, ozzy pink floyd, or pink floyd them self’s they are all crowd pleasers
