Macca and JT for Live Earth?

5th July 2007 - 12:10

Al Gore wants Paul MacCartney to join London’s Live Earth concert this weekend.

The former Vice President and eco-warrior is hoping Sir Paul will become a last minute addition to the event.

Paul is apparently a fan or Al’s award winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth and when Al found out he invited the former Beatle to join in.

A source told the Daily Mirror: “It’s true that Paul has been asked to take part. He said that the cause is very close to his heart and he’s very impressed with what Al Gore’s been doing to highlight it, but he’s still deciding whether he can do it at the moment.”

Justin Timberlake is also reportedly in secret talks to appear on stage with producing partner Timbaland and his pop heroes Duran Duran.

JT and Timbaland have recently been working with Duran Duran on their new album.

A source close to Timbaland told The Sun: “Justin and Timbaland have been rehearsing. They have something special up their sleeve for fans at Wembley.”

It’ll be a tight squeeze as Justin will have to rush off to his own gig at the O2 arena on the same evening.

London’s Wembley Stadium will host the UK’s Live Earth concert, one of ten concerts playing cross 7 continents.

The line-up already includes James Blunt, Kasabian, Black Eyed Peas and Madonna. The stars will go on the stage this Saturday (July 7).
