Radio 1’s Big Weekend set for Preston
27th February 2007 - 09:49About 30,000 music fans are to descend on the city of Preston for BBC Radio 1’s annual Big Weekend concert.
The two-day event - Europe’s biggest free ticketed festival - will take place at Moor Park in May.
Announcing the details from the city’s National Football Museum on Monday, DJ Jo Whiley said it promised to be a chance “to enjoy some good music”.
Details of artists taking part remain a closely-guarded secret and will be unveiled in the coming weeks.

So pleased that such an event is coming to the north west. desperately waiting to see the artists being announced and the opportunity for tickets.
